Project Characteristics:
This project is located in the Huancui District of Weihai City. The south side of the site is near the Cao Miaozi River, and the remaining sides are surrounded by roads. The topography reduces gradually from the north side to the south side. The elevation of north side is at 80 meters, and the elevation of south side is at 71 meters. The site is divided into two parts, the north site is used for building, and is in the form of an L shape. The south site will become a beautiful wetland park with a site area of 57,000 square meters.
Design Concept:
The design treats the center area of hospital as an open natural valley. We have extended the land-scape corridor toward the wetland park along the southward axis, and designed the elderly commu-nity parallel to the river overlooking the wetland park. The north tower of rehabilitation hospital is the highest building, with the height and size of towers reducing as it moves from the north to the south.
All three towers have excellent view overlooking the wetland park and the river in the distance. The towers face to the south and have a ribbon form in order to reduce the solar radiation in the summer and increase the solar radiation in the winter.
