SENIOR ARCHITECT/PROJECT MANAGER

WARNER architecture studio is searching for a Architect or Project Manager with healthcare facility design background or Senior living facility design background to join our growing Beijing office. This Healthcare designer should have experience in different healthcare projects and enjoy healthcare design work. The healthcare designer candidates will implement Company’s Guiding Principles (Vision and Mission) in the planning and documentation for multiple projects and teams. It is vital that the candidate has a knowledge of guidelines for programming, medical planning, design and construction of healthcare facilities and Senior Living facilities. The ideal candidate will be able to work both within a highly collaborative team setting and be able to work independently to meet client objectives.


 Responsibilities will primarily include 

  • Lead the work of other team members, providing mentoring and guidance
  • Develop detailed design concept through to detail
  • Provide expertise in executing projects to team members, clients and contractors
  • Develop and execute a management work plan for the overall project(s)
  • Define the project scope, document deliverables and assist in developing the project budget;
  • Collaborate with firm management to ensure appropriate staffing of project teams;
  • Understand the client’s business objectives and translate those objectives to the project team and ensure that the goals and milestones for the project, team and work-plan are met;
  • Manage project lifecycle from schematic design through construction administration;
  • Plan, schedule and manage the production drawing process and coordinate with consultants and other disciplines, including the review of project specifications;
  • Manage drawing development including detailing, quality control and overseeing document team;
  • Attend design meetings and prepare field reports; Responsible for all correspondence, reports, documentation, and general administration for the project(s)
  • Direct issue resolution and enhance project quality in reporting to internal and external audiences;
  • Achieve project success as measured by client and team satisfaction while achieving financial goals;
  • Contribute to business development by establishing confidence with clients, seek opportunities for follow up business for each project, and participate in interviews for potential projects;
  • Assist with proposal preparation and participates in client presentations/interviews


 Qualifications and Experience  

  • 10 years of related experience with minimum 6 years project architecture experience;
  • Bachelors degree at an accredited university and Professional Licensure required;
  • Strong Healthcare design and technical skills;
  • Ability to manage project teams effectively and meet project schedules;
  • Leadership style that is based on building consensus for best results;
  • Ability to balance the needs of projects with corporate goals;
  • An effective communicator in Mandarin and English
  • Proficient in related technologies, such as, Revit, SketchUp, Autocad, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, etc.
